1 roommate, 2 roommate, 3 rooommate...4!

This was taken at a Bee's game right around the time we all started to get to know each other better: spending days/nights at Dan, Joel and Spencer's, buying way too many Krispy Kremes and discussing the fun days that were going to be had when we moved in together! Well, it's been close to a YEAR since we've moved in together and saying that it's been great would be an understatement. So instead of defending myself in a hostile manner, why not brag about what is so great about living with these girls?
- It's always a party with the combination of amazing girls in a home
- They take care of you when you're sick
- They are always there to keep you in check. I have heard this often, "Ya know Bethany...have you ever considered your ice cream habits to be a problem?"
- They make you feel prettier than any other guy who has told you so. Count on them to go into (sometimes too much) detail about how good you look. Love it!
- They bare through my bad habits, thus, I learn to control them
- It's expected to have a smile on your face when you come home to them...they are always welcoming!
- We all LOVE sushi. It wouldn't be a functioning household if we didn't share that same interest.
- NPP's. Enough said.
- Delicious treats are to be had on a weekly basis. Half of the time I complain only to make it look like I care that I'm eating things that are bad for me, when really, I couldn't be more grateful for Ali's wonderful baking skills.
- Pillow talk
- Late night diet coke/donut runs. THE BEST.
It is a comforting thought to know that at the end of a long day, you will be happy to just be home. It is because of the girls that live in this house that make it so special. We are all aiming for the same spiritual goals, support each other in that and have a lot of fun goofing off in the meantime. We aren't perfect and we definitely have our moments, but among those, we are quick to say "I'm sorry" and our relationship grows stronger. We always say that sometimes our love for each other is a bad thing, that we might just end up living together for the rest of our lives and not even bother to find husbands. It'll be sad to eventually move on to that next chapter of our lives when we have to say goodbye to late night talks, baking in our pjs, and grocery shopping together but that time hasn't come yet! Needless to say, I love my roommates, each and every one of them.
With that being said, I want to welcome the newest and coolest addition to our home (no, it is not a 52" screen TV...we're workin on that one) but the one and only JESSICA ZINK!

All of the above that I've stated apply to this girl. She has been such a bomb-a addition to our home and we're incredibly happy to have her! We hope she enjoys it just as much as we do.
So here's to even more good times had in this household. Like I said, these girls make it really hard to abide by what the our bishopric is constantly drilling in our minds..."prepare now to find those eternal companions..." eh, boys have cooties.

Alarm
It's the worst sound in the world. It makes my skin crawl, my entire body cringe, and for a brief moment I want to kill something. It's my alarm. I hate it!

Especially, when I am having a wonderful dream about Mr. Talldarkandhandsome, just when he is about to give me the best kiss of my entire life, the alarm goes off and ruins the whole thing.

I feel like the alarm clock enjoys it!
It is the alarms job, waking people up. I just picture it getting so excited about going off. I know that it is an inanimate object. But it has been taunting me for years!

This week I finally figured out a way to not let the alarm clock torture me! I wake up before it goes off! It’s like a race, and I am winning! I was so excited on Tuesday when I beat it two days in a row. Now it is Friday and I went all week without hearing my alarm go off once! And I have been in a great mood everyday that I have woken up before the alarm. It may be that I just love winning so much. And I am defeating something that has given me grief for years. I am just so proud.

F
I failed!
I know I get a big F! But I just so you know I did think about it! I thought about it a lot actually!
I just didn't know what to post!
I must say one thing! I am excited to be a roomie with you two! Seriously! I couldn't ask for two better roomates! We all just seem to get along so well!
The deposit money came out of my account today! It's getting real! I can't believe it! Two months from now life is going to be a bit different for me and I can't wait for a new change!
Change usually scares the crap out of me! It's a scary thing! Especially when your life has been in a nice rythme for so long. I am scared, but it's a good scared! I am excited to see what will happen with me! But I am scared because this is the first really big change in my life in 10 years! 10!
(finding all of the f's in this post was hard! I am pretty sure I missed some.)

sometimes cake looks so good
I know like all my posts are about food, but, i just really like to look at food. and eat it. and think about it.
For some reason cake sounded really good today. Good cake, not normal cake. really good moist chocolate cake with that really good frosting. And then I thought, what better time to eat delicious cake than at a cake testing. And that's when I decided that I'm extremely excited to go cake testing for my wedding cake. I'm going to milk that experience for all its worth.

Sometimes life just falls into place
So amidst the stress and anxiety of the decision making that so called "grown-ups" do, really you're just making positive changes that will benefit you, your future, your roommates and maybe, just maybe, you will be lying in bed blogging about how much better you feel because it all seems so worth it. I am excited for the changes ahead, whether they work out or not. Life happens. And whatever happens, happens for a reason. I'm sure it will be a great ride, tons of fun and a wonderful experience in the next chapter of my life.
Question for Ali and Ria: Wanna move in together?
Post by Sunday!
So new goal for this week. We each have to post by Sunday! And it has to be a good post! Alrighty?

Tuesday!

I have to say that Tuesday and I have not had the best relationship for the past 24 years.
I have many reasons for disliking Tuesday.
1. It comes after Monday. Monday is the day where I am still in a daze from the weekend it hasn't quite hit me that I am back to reality. But Tuesday is the day it seems to hit.
2. I am always tired on Tuesday! Always! It's harder to get up and my day is always not nearly as fun.
3. There are still 4 days till the weekend! 4!
4. Nothing really happens on a Tuesday. Seriously, all the other days are popular and have wonderful things happening. Even the good television shows are on the other days, but nothing on Tuesday.
I have decided to try to mend my relationship with Tuesday. I feel like we got off to a bad start. I need to start being a bit more positive about it. And hopefully, eventually it will become one of my favorite days of the week.
I am sorry Tuesday.

There are some things money can't buy
The other day after work I took a trip to Eye Masters to try on a couple pairs of frames. In search for my prescription (which is nowhere to be found) I discovered something that I wish I hadn’t just shoved in the glove compartment of my car…it was a farewell letter from one of my best friends, Mr. Erik Bondehagen. He gave it to me the night before I left to move to Utah and I had forgotten what a genuinely sweet letter it was. Mind you, Erik is not one to show his mushy-gushy side (which DOES exist people!) so this letter is just a piece of friggin gold. In his letter, Erik explained the story of how the Fab Four (Suzie, Bethany, Max and Erik) met, how much he cherished everything we had gone through from summer of 2005 to winter of 2008 and added that even the worst times were awesome because he learned something from them. It definitely brought me back, remembering how everyday in Claremont was spent with my best friends, swimming, playing music, laughing, loving…it was the best time of my life. So I finished the letter and quickly sent a text message to Erik, letting him know what an awesome letter it was and how much I appreciated the nostalgia. It’s always nice to have a reminder of the times you cherished the most. For the rest of the day, not only did Erik’s letter produce countless little pictures of Claremont friends dancing around in my head (literally, dancing friends), but it also brought about an overwhelming feeling of appreciation for those that I can happily call my FRIENDS here in Utah.
I knew that as I stepped foot in Utah, anyone who could even earn the title of a so-called “friend” had big shoes to fill. Mind you, I did not say replace. It would be utterly impossible and completely out of the question to say that anyone could replace my California friends, simply, a rather large void would need to be filled once I moved. And so it has been. Through the past year, I have made friends that most definitely make a life in Utah swell and I graciously accept them into my collection of wonderful people that I grew to know and love throughout my life in California. So here’s to all of my friends, from the coast of Southern California, to Utah...
All my life I've been searching for something
Something I can put my finger on
Maybe I've been living for the weekend
Maybe I've been living for this cyber soul
Every Friday just about midnight
All my problems seem to disappear
Everyone that I miss when I'm distant
Everybody's here
I need love
Cause only love is true
I need every wakin' hour with you
And my friends cause they're so beautiful
Yeah my friends they are so beautiful
They're MY friends
They're my friends...
They're my friends...
They're my friends...
They're my friends...
They're my friends...
They're my friends...
They're my friends...
They're my friends.
